  I can't comment on longevity or ability to withstand a heavy gate but these are exactly what I needed to move my heavy chicken coop around the yard. The casters are similar in design to a trailer jockey wheel. No fixings included so you'll need to source those if you don't already have any. Coach bolts or heavy duty screws would be my suggestion, depending on suitability.
  They seem like they'll endure the weather, although I've added some white grease to all the moving parts to be sure.
  These casters would suit a smaller, lighter style gate on a smoother surface in my opinion but for my use they're perfect.
