- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 13 August 2021I had been looking for a wireless transmitter for my JVC television so that my wife, who works 12 hour shifts, could watch TV while I slept.
I only chose ÍøÆغÚÁÏ because research showed a wide variety of quality issues with these devices, all Chinese made. From the amount of unheard of and increasingly bizarre manufacturers, I first chose a Cheap (£11.00) device. It was complete crap! The sound quality sounded as though people were speaking underwater, it was difficult to set up ...and understand the loopy english translation instructions so I binned it.
How to choose from all the crap ÍøÆغÚÁÏ has to offer?
Well, I thought...let's go up a price band and see how they perform.
This unit had more understandable instructions, was easy to follow and easy to set up. I charged the transmitter first . You press the centre button for a few seconds until it flashes blue then switch on your Bluetooth device, in this case some Skullcandy Sesh wireless earphones. As soon as you take out the earphones they automatically connected to the transmitter and the flashing blue led i changes to constant.
Then plugged the cable into the TV headphone socket and after a second or two......lo and behold....sound. The latency was acceptable with only a fractional difference between sound received and the lip movement on screen.
The sound is a bit "tinny" and I have yet to experiment with adjusting the sound controls on the TV to see if that improves things. But hey!.....it works.
How you choose between the many items on ÍøÆغÚÁÏ is beyond me. I took the view that if it was still crap then I could at least return it. There are probably better quality units however, I can't be bothered to work my way through them all. If only ÍøÆغÚÁÏ could provide a genuine feedback from other users it would help however, you can't trust anything they do nowadays so the return of faulty units is you only recourse.
I'm a Prime user and ordered the unit at 22.27hrs and they arrived the next day so that was good....unnecessary but convenient ( I sympathise with the delivery drivers....it's no wonder there is a shortage given their treatment!).
In conclusion, if you are not looking for HiFi quality, give them a go.......you can always return them!
