1/0.6 single core wire is very often used by hobbyists with breadboards. I've got several pairs of automatic wire strippers and only one very old (and now blunt) pair will strip this size of cable consistently. Most wire strippers grab the insulation and just scrape it, and for some reason the 1/0.6 black colour from Rapid electronics is the worse for this. However, I've just spent an enjoyable 20 minutes performing around 50 wire strips and only 1 slipped, and even then it worked 2nd time which is excellent. Really do recommend these for finer wires. No idea how they perform on larger gauges and I'm not going to try them as I don't want to damage them though they look pretty robust. They are also very reasonably priced. I bought a Knipex pair at 3 times the price and they were terrible with small gauge wire.
