  I did not read the specs so I'm not reviewing my mistake, however...
  
  It's shorter than I thought from the photos, less then 5ft, so it looks a bit odd with my high ceilings - but that's on me for relying on photos. This is very cute. I love the style. Arrived packaged very well.
  
  The main issue for me is the floor switch is too close to the actual lamp, just 50cm, with only 1 metre to the plug (in cable terms this is nothing). To plug it in where I wanted it, the switch can't rest on the floor. So even with an extension cable I can't then reach the switch or it dangles in the air, making the floor switch redundant and actually less convenient than if it were on the actual lamp. I have another floor lamp with the same set up and the cable is about three times longer, so I hadn't expected this. Obviously, I'm an idiot who needed to read the specs - but just make sure you do and it will fit with your plans.
  
  Additionally I can't angle the bulb into more than one or two positions without it settling back into its default, despite fiddling quite a bit, so that's limiting. Lamp is good and deserves a good home, just a bit inflexible in design which is a shame, which is why 4 stars.
