  There isn't much of a gap between the bottom of our front door & the inside floor. I have bought coir mats before but the pile has been too deep & it's not possible to open the door.
  
  I appreciate that a thinner mat might be a disadvantage to some, but this one sits perfectly below the door when it's opened. I just wish they would also make a larger sized one as as standard size one never seems wide enough.
  That all being said, great value & it works as well as any other coir mat we've had.
