  Quality packaging, quality product. Plug it into your monitor, plug an hdmi cable into your laptop etc then plug that into the converter. Turn your monitor on and there you go.
  
  If this is for a second monitor then you may need to adjust the screen resolution and as its HDMI you may need to change the scaling to get a full screen image. This is normal with any monitor utilising an hdmi connection. There are a ton of videos and guides in the net for sorting this out. Let google be your friend.
