  Effective light and compact kettle. There's no whistle, but you can hear it boil and see steam coming out. The handle is in the path of the steam and the plastic isn't very insulating, so it does get hot - use gloves. It's pretty wide and might make a smaller stove top heavy, so be careful about balance. There's no fill-to line, but filling right to the top puts the hot water at the edge of the spout, where it would be ejected by boiling, so don't do that. Realistically, it can boil about 500ml of water.
