  Had one of these before and it lasted about 15 years. This is ideal if you don't like brightness next to your bed, its dim so won't shine in your face, silent second hand so no annoying ticking, the alarm starts of pretty low, then after pressing "snooze" it becomes louder gradually..excellent alarm clock, love it
