  I use this for slicing fresh bread. I find an electric knife better than an ordinary breadknife which tends to run off course and squash soft bread. The VinShef cuts cleanly allowing you to cut the slices thinner if you wish. It could be improved by increasing the electrical lead to 2 meters and supplying a durable sheath for holding the blades whilst fitting them and removing them from the machine. The blades are extremely sharp but the supplied sheaths are not fit for purpose. I suffered a cut finger the first I used them.
