  The controllers fit very snugly onto the docks (they take some manoeuvres) but once on there, they are not coming off unless you want them too. The wire is a metre long which for me is just too short for it to sit comfortably where i need it.
  
  Otherwise, the charge gets in and stays. The station only charges when it needs and shows by visual light.
