The picture with this review was taken in broad daylight, at a distance of 2 meters from the car in front. Number plates are totally illegible because ever though it says it's recording at 1080, it's actually 720p. The rear camera is worse, at only 640x480. (This is after changing it to the highest settings) Image compression is also pretty terrible, a 3 minute video becomes 236MB. So yeah, it works, but only so long as you don't need to record actual details.
