It arrives fully constructed and with a metal plate enclosed, so that it can be hung from a fence/wall.
You can fill it by simply lifting the lid at the top and pouring the feed, I used peanuts, in. These become trapped behind a clear screen, which has just enough room at the bottom to release some of the goodies inside.
At £18.99, at time of review, it's worth the price purely for the amusement value - hopefully the birds/squirrels will love it as much as I do.
