Very useful device for accessing gutters and greatly improves stability of ladders, it's solidly built, and offers larger stand-off range than most which was an essential requirement for my property. However, I'm only giving 3 stars because of a serious design fault - the material of the non-slip pads leave black marks on any paintwork (wood or masonry) which then necessitates repainting. Recommend you put masking tape or similar over the pads to protect against this problem, but this is an annoying workaround for what is an unforgivable oversight of the manufacturer. Other lesser issues are that it's also a little fiddly to set up and change position compared to other models, and it's not so good for working close to or on a corner of the house due to the width of the standoff.
