  I bought this pruner because my old hands could not tolerate the usual secateur. This pruner is powerful, so powerful that you keep your spare hand out of the way and think before every cut. The trigger takes no effort at all which is why care is totally necessary. I previously had considerable difficulty pruning 2 large yukka plants, even the long handled chopper could not cut the leaves. Well, this pruner cut them so easily I could hardly believe it. It slices through branches around an inch easily.
  
  I have just bought another for my daughter. I cannot comment on the battery as I have not had the pruner long enough, but it comes with 2 batteries and a dual charger. I wish we had had this decades ago!
