  I bought this so I could not only flash new firmware but also download & upload settings etc to the radio.
  
  It does allow to flash the firmware, but was a little glitchy as I had to hold the cable into the port for the radio to be recognised.
  
  But downloading & uploading settings etc from & to the radio just wouldnt work. My UV-K5 would first see the cable was attached (by showing the blue LED) but then it would vanish as if the cable had been disconnected.
  
  In the end I bought the same cable from someone off ebay which had been recommended by a youtuber, once that arrived I plugged it in & it worked perfectly for everything.
  
  All I can think of is that this one from ÍøÆغÚÁÏ could be a chinese clone.
