  This is a very good sturdy product and I cannot see any problems with it. It came partly assembled and finishing it off was easy. In fact the most fiddly part was the fixing rod but now that is on it stays on and just slips over the end of the handlebars of my hybrid. And it works. The quick release clamp works well and is worthwhile having. I adjusted the wing nut to suit my bike and now the jaws open enough to put the bike in or take out easily, push the leaver down and it’s clamped firmly in position. Using my old homemade setup the bike was neither high enough nor held firmly enough. Using this stand I was able to work on the bike gearing easily. Cleaning, de greasing, lubricating and setting up the gears so that they work as good as new. And no back ache. I don’t know if this is better than other stands but the price is good, it’s high enough and sturdy, the quick release clamp works well and the fixing rod is worthwhile to stop the front wheel swinging around. I’m happy.
