If a true Sci-Fi Junkie and indeed a Stat-Wars fan ignore the adverse and anti-Disney comments and just sit back and enjoy this action-packed/ Special-Effects spectacle for what it is --Entertainment. The 4K upgrade enhances the visual pleasure watching the film which follows on from 'The Force Awakens' and sees's the continuing conflict between the forces of evil and the Resistance led by General Leia Organa,(Carrie Fisher) and Rey's (Daisy Ridley)) quest to both persuade Luke Skywalker (Mark Hamill) to both help the cause and indeed teach her how to become Jedi. Ultimately both will have to face Kylo Ren (Adam Driver) who will become The First Orders leader. Who will prevail? Is the force with the Resistance? A superb 8th in the Star-Wars series.
REVIEW (AS POSTED EARLIER) OF EPISODE NINE - THE RISE OF SKYWALKER Episode IX continues well from the previous instalment - Rey (Daisy Ridley) who has all-but inherited the status of being a Jedi, and being pursued by Kylo Ren (Adam Driver) who has been persuaded to follow the Dark-Side and has a directive to kill Rey, but unable to do it himself directs numbers to do so. The Dark-Side threatens to overrun all that is good in the Universe and must be stopped, Rey knows she must if but alone try to do so, however friends Poe (Oscar Isaac) Finn (John Boyega) Chewbacca (Joonas Suotamo) along with 3-CPO (Voiced by Anthony Daniels) will not let Rey go alone. The team will eventually need the help of many if they are to overcome the all-powerful force including the resistance led still by Leia (Carrie Fisher /archive footage used) Rey will have to face Emporer Palpatine (Ian McDiarmid) one to one, the Sith-Master wishes to pass on the Dark-Side command to her, she will be helped by an unexpected source. This is an action-packed spectacle with dazzling special-effects to cherish along the way, which is greatly enhanced on the 4K format. The film-makers don't miss a trick with this tremendous addition to the saga, with cameo appearances from Mark Hamill as Luke Skywalker and indeed from Harrison Ford as Hans Solo this is without question a must-see for all action/sci-fi film lovers and of course Star-War fans. The presentations just keep better and better in my opinion.
