- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 23 May 2018I have been very impressed with this product. I purchased a car and failed to spot that the bonnet had actually been resprayed. That will teach me for buying a car in poor weather!
It is a Black car too, and as they say, Black isn't a colour it's a Hobby!
Anyhow regular polishing didn't really help with the amount of swirls, holograms and general dullness of the paint on this panel so I tried some more items in my cleaning bag, one of those was T-Cut. Well regular T-Cut was a disaster and actually made finish worse with loads more swirls and holograms. Usually I have had very good results with this on previous cars, including a previous Black car.
I moved on to t-cut for 'metallic paint finishes' which did help a bit but I still wasn't happy with the finish. There just wasn't the shine like the rest of the panels. Swirls still remained.
Moving on to looking for a better product the ÍøÆغÚÁÏ reviews really did favour this compound product from Meguairs.
It applies really nicely and doesn't seem like the 'liquid sand' that is T-Cut. It's fairly liquid in consistency so you are able to work this in well.
It dries pretty quickly too and on removing does not leave loads of dust or dried bits of the product and the end result is amazing! The swirls are much, much reduced.
I would say it has reduced them by at least 80%, if not more. I applied a couple of coats, taking care of course not to apply too much pressure to ensure the clear coat surface isn't damaged.
Check the pictures to see for yourself. To say I am chuffed is an understatement. The product doesn't seem harsh enough to make an improvement - but it has!
The shine as a result is much improved now, and whilst it will probably never match the original factory paint it is fully acceptable to me now.
Holograms are also much reduced too and the deepness of the Black has been very much restored.
T-Cut has gone in the bin and it has been replaced with this item for sure!
