  I wanted to buy a coal scuttle as a gift, having seen one at a friend's house. It needed to be large enough to accommodate enough coal to be practical, but also something very attractive and high quality. Some of the other scuttles had reviews expressing disappointment on how small / cheap looking the actual product turned out to be, I thought these measurements looked good and the photo suggested it was a decent size. I really liked what arrived (very promptly and in good safe packaging so no damage) - a stylish and high quality product, it can take a good batch of coal, and there is a very useful handle on the side to keep the shovel (included) so you don't lose it or end up tripping over it somewhere. The carrying handle is really strong and it was the perfect gift, practical but very stylish. Not the cheapest, but this is built to last.
