  This well made folding easel seems to made from beech. It is quite sturdy save for the bar across the adjustable support at the back which is a little flimsy. The wood has no finish. It benefits from a few coats of varnish to deter staining. Overall this adjustable easel, which folds flat and can be laid across your lap, is good value for money but ideally needs to be lightly sanded and varnished before use.
