- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 10 October 2024I'm only part way though attaching this to my ladder. The instructions are rubbish and how it goes together is not intuitive. It looks like these bars are to go across the hoop, but clearly they are not. From the instructions I can only guess at how they should fit. Also the nuts are those with an internal ring to stop them coming undone and so they cannot be done up with your fingers. As a result they take forever to run all the way up the thread. You really need a long reach 10mm socket and ratchet set, which I don't have!
UPDATE
You actually need an 11mm socket - who on earth uses that size?! I used a long reach socket and powered it from my impact driver, and the socket was still not long enough, but would have taken forever without it. Those U brackets are too long too, no matter what ladder you use, they will not be that big so they are another hazard to your skin unless you cut them down.
The photos should help with assembly. Once built and excess cut off, it works fine. A little more care and it would be a much better product.
