  I bought this fan as I am designing a 3D print external cooling solution for my Surface 7. In trials this fan is very quite and shifts a good amount of air. The Surface 7 is cooled somewhat in testing as planned. I made another one of these into a portable personal fan [just because] and that works well too.
  
  Make no mistake! This fan is usb 5V powered - not to be used inside a PC [from motherboard header etc] as these are 12V.
