  Walk the dog over wet fields and paths daily, bought this to dry out our shoes so they are good to go for our daily walks. Unit is running 24/7 at current, gets warm and doesn’t damage the shoes. Pulls a small amount of energy, comparable to running an old school 60w lightbulb, so isn’t going to cost a fortune in energy. Mine is wall mounted in the garage.
  
  Build quality is good, it isn’t super high quality, but for the price, its a good product.
