  I've had this for nearly 5 years now, and still relish the moment it kicks in after a signal wakes it up, two seconds into playing something (because I don't have it set to "always-on"). Paired with Dali Zensor 1s, which are similarly priced, and a small Denon amp, I've had a great time with this sub. It's about the limit of what you can expect your neighbours to bear, when living in a flat, perhaps even beyond it. While I expect more expensive subs to be even more focused, and of course reach further down, this is exactly appropriate for my current situation. Don't forget to try out both polarities when you set it up and every time you move it- it really makes a big difference to choose the right one, when the distances between it and the speakers allow for some frequencies to be cancelled out. To adjust the volume and the cutoff, I played an ascending sine wave on a loop, and adjusted until it felt even. You can't tell it's on if you get close to it now, but you definitely miss it when it's off.
