This is the POE one, so I have a specific network switch which delivers power to the doorbell over the network, which means the doorbell is then hardwired with Ethernet cable. The doorbell bell part then plugs in to a socket in the house and pairs to the button quickly. You can change tunes and volumes from the side of the bell, nice and easy.
Configuring the doorbell to notify you via the reolink app is simple and then you get alerts when you're out and about that someone's there... This is where slight issues exist, sometimes there is a significant delay (same with the ring doorbells) and you miss the person at the door. The internal bell inside the house works fine, so definitely something to do with the remote alerting. Video playback is good quality, even when it's low light or nighttime. Audio quality on recordings is really good and you can clearly hear people's voices etc. however when you click to talk back to the person at the door the volume is super loud and distorted and so I end up having to whisper at them and they can just about hear.... Instead of this I have a set of recorded messages I can click to play at them "please can you leave it by the door" "yes/no" "thanks" "I'll be back in a bit, can you wait please" that sort of thing and that works fine when I do get the notifications someone is there!
I put in a 256GB storage card and that works well for me, giving me recordings whenever movement is detected for the last 7 months. You can set areas where movement is ignored (so I ignored the road, and only included movement on my property/drive, so I get less videos per day). You can also set the camera to sound a siren alert on movement detection at certain times which is pretty cool in some scenarios (Halloween!).
