It cooked my chicken drumsticks very evenly, no redness if held upright, remained juicy. I bought this because I have a mobility problem and can't reach into a standard kitchen oven to clean it etc. Can this Ninja be used to cook indoors? No, because the elements are exposed so juice splatters onto them (top and bottom) creating dense smoke that is toxic and unpleasant. Outdoors it's no problem, just standard bbq smoke. Cleaning it is no easier than a kitchen oven. I had to use a pumice stone to get the worst spots of muck off the insides. This caused some light scratching but hey, it's better than leaving food marks on it. Tip :- if the meat juices do not splatter the sides there's much less cleaning required. So put the meat in the centre or put an upright metal dish next to the meat to block the splatters. Tip:- if cleaning is a problem for you put the meat close to the door, because that's easier to clean than the back. The parcel as delivered is very heavy. The delivery man struggled with it. Many people won't be able to lift it. The weight is caused by the heavy cast iron pan and the pizza stone, so remove these first so you can move the Ninja around. The weight is then within the limits of most people but still moderately heavy. I'm very impressed by this bbq oven. I don't normally bother with summer bbqs but I think I will this year.
