Like most items with poor online reviews, if people took the time to study what the advert said about the product there would be no poor reviews.
Check you have the right size wheels, the correct frame width and and a quick release skewer. If you tick all those boxes, this frame will work for you.
Of course it makes a noise if you use off-road tyres, but I don't find it any louder than my rowing machine. If it bothers you, buy slicks.
I'm as dim as can be when it comes to bikes. I had to take my mountain bike out of the garage and check the tyres were still serviceable before I opened the stand. I need it for rehabilitation after a ruptured Achilles tendon. Having done that, and pumped up my tyres, it took me no more than ten minutes to have it ready to use.
That includes needing to change the quick release skewer (provided) because the ends of mine didn't fit securely enough in the frame. It's surprisingly easy to do.
The frame is well-made, robust and easy to use. I lowered my seat a little as it feels very high when mounted on the frame.
I had no issues with stability because the front wheel was in the riser block (provided). I strongly recommend not buying a trainer frame without a riser.
Conclusion - I'm happy with the item and happy to recommend it.
