I now have tidy spools with no threads hanging out and tangling together wasting yards of thread to try and untangle to tame them. They work perfectly for the reason I bought them. I don’t use them on my machine for ordinary sewing but I do use them when I am using machine for embroidery and they work just fine. I have placed an unused net on top of spool with net on in the photo and you can see you lose very little in the length when they are stretched. Obviously they are not the correct length for overlocker spools if you check the measurements given in description. You would require a larger size for them.
Overall I am extremely pleased with my purchase as I now have a very tidy collection of well behaved threads.
