I was very careful to tighten the adaptor to the hose as tight as possible, but only screw the whole assembly into the spark plug hole finger tight. After I ran the compression test on the first cylinder I tried to unscrew the hose but could feel it was just spinning. Eventually the hose came out, leaving the crimped end and the adaptor in the spark plug hole! I have a Mini JCW and the spark plug chamber is around 10cm long and narrow, so very inaccessible. I was really panicking thinking it was going to a valve cover off job to get closer to the stuck items. Luckily though I managed to avoid this with a pair of very long nose pliers to remove the end of the hose, then a bent piece of coat hanger to remove the adaptor. To top it all this is the first time I have used this item, 32 days after ordering. So no refund for me :-(
