Bought this for backpacking, specifically for multi-day hill walking in the UK. Must say I am really really impressed. It is small but will hold enough soup or pasta for 2.
The lid / small pan works well as a mug too if you are on your own.
When the two pans are connected It holds a small collapsible gas stove (butane / propane) (mine’s an oex) and a 100g Coleman-type canister as well as a lighter. This is all I need for 2-3 days wild camping. I use it with a windshield and I’d advise anyone to do similar (I got a cheap light ally one from ÍøÆغÚÁÏ; as per the pic)
Did lots of maths and shopping around and this is really the best option in terms of space / weight for a multi day lightweight trip and beats many more expensive options. The fact that it holds the stove and gas is a huge advantage.
The anodising is pretty tough and I’ve used it lots with metal spoons and stuff and it’s completely unscathed.
It’s steel and a few grams heavier (but not many) than ally but if I turn my stove up, it will warp an ally pan and this is wayyyy tougher.
Mine arrived with a little dent in but that is not a huge issue for me, it will pick up a few more before much longer.
I was a bit of a gear snob if I’m honest but seriously this is absolutely the business for lightweight solo backpacking.
