  I bought this to replace a rather unimpressive Swann system that had finally failed altogether. I got the Sannce because I was hoping to employ my existing cameras and this one seemed to fit the bill. The new Sannce DVR worked straight away and was very easy to set up. It detected the types of the existing cameras without any intervention from me. After I got the PTZ camera working I found that it worked considerably better than it ever had on the Swann DVR (for which it was specifically designed!) The Sannce also offers a host of great features such as running a bespoke PTZ tour for each of the other cameras as they detect movement. The remote windows software, CMS, works brilliantly and offers most of the functions available from the DVR's own monitor.
  
  The only issue I had was with the Android app, which badgers you to employ a cloud server which I don't want to do. (Why would I want to trust my security system to some remote server under the control of God-knows-who?) It can be made to operate without the cloud server, but doesn't offer remote playback. The Android app is a bit janky in other respects too, but with all its idiosyncracies, it still works better than the Swann one ever did!
  
  Despite the app, I'm still giving it a solid five stars 'cos it exceeded my expectations in every other respect. I couldn't ask for more. Very pleased.
