- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 12 January 2023OK my second attempt to purchase an air locker nail punch the first just disappeared into the parcel maelstrom. So when the new AP900 showed up with greater nail capacity I thought Id give it a second try, Mail from USA to United Kingdom can always be tedious! Ordered with a delivery date arrival for the 14th it arrived on the 11th less than a week (wow)
The punch does not have any quick fittings or spare nail punch needle, Once I fitted a standard quick connect I gave it a go with a variety of pallets I needed to break down (2 euro pallets, One hardwood ? oak and a mahogany pallet !
Setting the air pressure to 80 PSI the gun removed al nails to the point of just needing a tug with a claw hammer to remove nails from last 10mm even on the hardwood pallets, Turning the pressure up to 90PSI the nails generally were removed completely with a few exceptions of very bent nails. Turning it up to 100PSI or above caused the nails to fly out completely causing a danger to anyone near by or even myself!
So in summary a great tool reducing time removing nails and producing a clean indent easily filled if you are using the pallets for furniture etc.
I also tried punching the nail into the 4 x 2 cross blocks with great reults pushing the nail down about 10mm enough to sand or plane down to useful timbe but indent big enough to not miss when cutting it up at a later date.
