  With the pro max you need a magsafe case, the magnet isn't strong enough to securely hold the pro max. There's no magnet in the well for charging Airpods so you could accidentally bump them off charge. That said, the airpods case does stick to the phone magsafe location so if you're not charging the phone (or the watch) you can magnetically attach them in either of those locations instead.
  
  Otherwise, i really like this. It feels well made and robust. It looks good.
