  I have a drawer full of discarded alarm clocks which didn't meet requirement for one reason or another. Either the back light was so poor it didn't light the dial, or the alarm was too loud, the latest to hit the back of the drawer was the alarm off button, so tiny I could never find it to turn off the incessant noise, by the time I had I was in such a bad mood. Not a great start to the day.
  
  This one is lovely, well built, you can feel it's not a cheap one. It's stylish and feels sturdy. The back light is easy to operate, snooze button is a bonus and it's very easy to turn off. Oh another brownie point the alarm starts gently and gradually gets louder so you aren't woken with a jolt.
  
  Bit more expensive but you get what you pay for in my opinion.
