So I have been running Cat6a through my property and terminating with a more traditional tooled connection/terminator. I came to the last cable to find I had run out. I came across these and thought I would give them a try (seeing as I didn't need a large pack of them). My first thought was the cost, they are expensive for just 2 connectors. If you just need to do the 1 cable I guess it isn't so bad but if you had to get lots of them then the price would quickly add up. Once I used it however I was amazed at how much easier the process was. If you know what you're doing it takes under a minute to strip back the cable, align the twisted pairs and get them in and cut to length. It used to take me considerably longer with a more traditional load bar, threading cables and straightening. If you make a mistake it's even easier to undo and try again whereas a normal connector would need to be thrown away. I tested the cable at the end and had a perfect connection on each wire including ground. In fact I was so surprised that it made me consider that perhaps that additional expense would be worth it making the process so much easier and faster.
