  I did what many others on here seem to have done and assumed it wasn't compatible with my Brita jug. Thanks to reading through reviews of those clearly more intelligent than I am, I found out that the key to success is the little blue plug provided. This needs to be inserted into the hole on the underside of the inner jug section (the bit where water flows out) and then the cartidge can be placed as normal and the water flows fine. Cartridges seem fine, only reduced stars because the instructions on importance of the plug and how to fit it aren't clear.
