  I've now bought three of these at different times. Being silent in operation (except the alarm itself) is a big bonus - the key to me buying 2 more - but also the simplicity of setting & using - great for my elderly Mum who gets confused with digital clock setting methods.
  Considering the face is slightly illuminated at night, battery life is surprisingly good (1+ year - takes 3xAA).
