  The craftmanship for this table is best described as haphazard and hasty.
  The finish is far from smooth and by running your hands across all surfaces, including the table top, you will encounter abrasions and splintering, particularly on the legs - especially where the fittings attach but also at other positions down the legs.
  I think some oil may have been applied, but if so, large patches have been missed on the edges of the table top as the colouring is noticeably different.
  The table is sturdy however, and will suffice for the moment.
  It was easy to put together. All in all - not great and not really worth the price paid.
  I bought matching chairs by the same manufacturer - for those, the story is less than good.
