  Bought this item because I fell out of bed and banged my head on a bedside table. As I sleep in a single bed, I bought two so as to not fall out of the opposite side. As soon as I placed both bed rails on the bed, it was immediately noticeable that I would not be able to fit a single sheet, never mind a single fitted sheet, over the bed rails with sufficient material left to secure the sheet under the mattress. It was now apparent that I might have to try a double sheet. The next noticeable problem is when you sleep in a single bed with the bed rails correctly in place you are immediately subjected to increased heat and restricted movement which starts to cause an uncomfortable night of sleep especially if you're prone to cramp! I have tried to overcome these problems by moving the bed rails halfway over the mattress edge and this has marginally increased the room inside the bed but at the cost of making the bed rails less secure than they should be. As the product unfortunately has come with no helpful instruction on how to fit in a single bed and no information on washing care, I can only conclude that this product must still be in the early stages of development. I would like to conclude by saying that this is a well-made product, and I am sure that it would work in a double bed. Sadly, at the moment I don't feel this is suitable for a single bed
