I've been using a bluetooth FM transmitter to stream music in my Jaguar XK. My phone sits on a mount on the air vent, but the constant rattling was starting to annoy me, so I bought this in the hope of being able to control my music through the screen. Sadly, this was not the case. The sound quality is certainly better than with the transmitter, but at £80 it's exceptionally steep. I've tried using the device with my Samsung phone (with both Spotify and Apple music) and with my iPad, and still no luck. The device is recognised as an "Aux" device, and try as I might with the different settings, I can't get it to work as advertised. In addition, when the music is paused, there's a strange hissing noise coming from the car's speakers. This may be an issue with the car, although I've never had the problem before.
Will I be keeping it? Yes. My car is a 2007 Jaguar XK, and this remains the least awful option - the sound quality is too poor with the FM transmitter, and it's long past the days where I regularly buy CDs. In short, it doesn't work as advertised, but that may be the age of my car or a fault with my XK - I just thought I should put this review up as this seems to be the go-to product for Jag drivers.
