  Does exactly what it says on the tin. I've only used it on chicken so far and it did a great job. Suggest cutting a chicken breast I half and shredding separately. Its so quick and easy that you won't mind. Defo dishwasher or air dry, otherwise you'll be shredding your hands trying to dry.
