Had this rope for a week now, but I just cannot get it to turn at the speed I want for my training style (think Rocky III, end of the montage...I rarely do double-unders)
This is my first proper speed rope after years (10+) of using a cheap plastic-handled, plastic (?) rope. I find that the Beast Pro is much easier to get up to speed for double-unders, but I just can’t seem to get it to turn fast enough for my normal training...not that I’m super fast by any means, I just seem to land on the Beast Pro rope so many more times than I ever did with my old rope.
Build quality is fantastic. Length adjustment is super easy (though dedicated pliers/side cutters/wire cutters will definitely make trimming the wire rope much easier than using scissors). And the handles are genuinely comfortable and light.
Whilst I’m struggling to get along with this rope, I do recommend trying this rope because of a good combo of price, build quality, and comfort of the handles.
UPDATE: giving up on the Beast Rope Pro. I just do not get on with it. I’ve tried for a few more days, but am really hating using it. So it’s going in the bin.
