ÍøÆغÚÁÏ Insurance Store Terms & Conditions
Last updated on 29th July, 2024.
The ÍøÆغÚÁÏ Insurance Store is now closed for home insurance purchases. The below ÍøÆغÚÁÏ Insurance Store Terms and Conditions continue to apply, but the information shown here governs in case of any inconsistency. |
ÍøÆغÚÁÏ EU S.à r.l., UK Branch ("ÍøÆغÚÁÏ," "AEU," "we," "us," or "our") and participating third-party insurance firms ("Insurers") offer you the ability to obtain quotes for, compare, and purchase, certain insurance products (each, an "Insurance Policy") on the ÍøÆغÚÁÏ.co.uk website (collectively, the "ÍøÆغÚÁÏ Insurance Store"). If you choose to request a quote for an Insurance Policy (each, a "Policy Quote"), you accept the following terms and conditions ("Terms & Conditions"). Please read them carefully. Please also see our Privacy Notice, our Cookies Notice and our Interest-Based Ads Notice to understand how we collect and process your personal information.

Policy Quotes
In order to request a Policy Quote, you will first need to answer a few basic questions that will determine whether you meet the Insurers' basic qualifications for Policy Quotes. We'll let you know if you do not meet Insurers' qualifications due to your answer to any of these questions, in which case you won't be able to submit a request for Policy Quotes in the ÍøÆغÚÁÏ Insurance Store.
After confirming Insurers' basic qualifications, you will need to complete the Policy Quote questionnaire by providing the personal information requested, in order for Insurers to determine whether they will issue you a Policy Quote. You must get permission from any other people whose details you use in requesting a Policy Quote, before you provide us with any of their information. By submitting another person's information in the ÍøÆغÚÁÏ Insurance Store, you are confirming to us that you have their permission to do so, and that they understand their information will be used in accordance with these Terms & Conditions and our Privacy Notice.
You must ensure that all information that you provide in the Policy Quote questionnaire is accurate. Any false or inaccurate information may result in (a) the Insurer's termination of your Insurance Policy, (b) the Insurer's denial of claims under your Insurance Policy, or (c) your having to pay additional premiums to reflect any increased risk, as determined by the Insurer. As such, you should check the information in the questionnaire before submitting.
Insurers are exclusively responsible for underwriting the Insurance Policies. We do not decide whether you will receive a Policy Quote, nor do we guarantee that you will receive a Policy Quote. We also do not determine pricing for Policy Quotes. Policy Quotes are valid only for the time period specified in the Policy Quote details, which are determined by the Insurers. If an Insurer chooses to offer you the option to pay for your Insurance Policy in monthly installments, they will include monthly pricing and terms in their Policy Quote. More information about monthly installment payments can be found in these Terms & Conditions under the heading "Monthly Payment Option".
Policy Comparison & ÍøÆغÚÁÏ Standard of Cover
The ÍøÆغÚÁÏ Insurance Store allows you to compare your Policy Quotes, and also to see where an Insurance Policy provides coverage that is better than the ÍøÆغÚÁÏ Standard of Cover. If an Insurance Policy provides coverage that is better than the ÍøÆغÚÁÏ Standard of Cover, you will see this highlighted on the Policy Quote comparison page. While the ÍøÆغÚÁÏ Standard of Cover is intended to give you confidence that the Insurance Policies available for sale in the ÍøÆغÚÁÏ Insurance Store provide cover for some of the most commonly experienced losses, you are responsible for determining whether an Insurance Policy is appropriate for your needs and circumstances. As such, you should carefully read the Insurance Product Information Document (IPID), policy booklet, and other documentation for each Insurance Policy prior to making a purchase. Insurers are exclusively responsible for determining the terms and conditions included in such documents.
When available, we will let you know the claims approval rate for each Insurer from whom you receive a Policy Quote. The claims approval rate represents the average number of policyholder claims that the applicable Insurer approves out of the total number of policyholder claims that the Insurer receives. The claims approval rate pertains only to policyholder claims filed under the Insurance Policy being offered by the applicable Insurer in the ÍøÆغÚÁÏ Insurance Store, and is one among many factors that you may consider when choosing which Insurance Policy may be right for your needs.
Policy Purchase
If you choose to purchase an Insurance Policy, you will complete the purchase within the ÍøÆغÚÁÏ Insurance Store without being redirected to the applicable Insurer's website. If you wish to purchase an Insurance Policy, select the applicable Policy Quote on the Policy Quote comparison page, provide the information requested on the checkout page such as payment method and marketing and contact preferences, and proceed to the "Pay through ÍøÆغÚÁÏ" button. We collect your marketing and contact preferences on the Insurer's behalf. Such preferences, in addition to your selected payment method, will apply only to the Insurance Policy being purchased and will not affect any preferences you have previously selected in your ÍøÆغÚÁÏ account. When you click the "Pay through ÍøÆغÚÁÏ" button, your initial premium payment will be processed by APUK as described in these Terms & Conditions under the heading "Payment Processing by ÍøÆغÚÁÏ," and if payment is successful, your order will be forwarded to your selected Insurer in order for them to issue your Insurance Policy. Upon issuance of the Insurance Policy, we will display a confirmation page on the ÍøÆغÚÁÏ Insurance Store confirming your purchase and providing your Insurance Policy identification number and other pertinent details provided by your Insurer. After purchase, your selected Insurer will send your Insurance Policy documentation using the communication method you selected during checkout. Please check this documentation to confirm it is accurate. If any corrections are needed, you must contact the applicable Insurer.
Monthly Payment Option
The premium for each Insurance Policy available in the ÍøÆغÚÁÏ Insurance Store can be paid for on an annual basis. Certain Insurers may also offer you the option to pay for the premium in monthly installments (the "Monthly Payment Option"). Insurers are exclusively responsible for determining whether to offer you a Monthly Payment Option, in addition to the pricing and other terms and conditions of the Monthly Payment Option. We are responsible for displaying the Monthly Payment Option to you if the applicable Insurer makes it available. You may or may not receive a Policy Quote that may be purchased with a Monthly Payment Option. If a Monthly Payment Option is available for a Policy Quote and you wish to enroll, you will need to select such Monthly Payment Option and agree to the terms and conditions of the applicable Insurer's subscription, credit, or other applicable agreement (the "Monthly Payment Agreement") prior to making your purchase. Insurers or their lending partners, as applicable, are exclusively responsible for determining the terms and conditions included in such Monthly Payment Agreement.
Payment Processing by ÍøÆغÚÁÏ
If you choose to purchase an Insurance Policy in the ÍøÆغÚÁÏ Insurance Store, you will be asked to select, prior to submitting your order, whether you wish to pay for your Insurance Policy on an annual basis or, if the Monthly Payment Option is available, in monthly installments.
If you select to pay in monthly installments, your payment will be taken using a continuous payment authority (CPA). A CPA allows monthly payments to be taken without further action from you. Your Insurer is required to tell you about how they will use any CPA, and further details about how a CPA will work for your Insurance Policy can be found in the applicable Monthly Payment Agreement.
Our affiliate, ÍøÆغÚÁÏ Payments UK Ltd. ("APUK"), will process your first premium payment when you submit your order in the ÍøÆغÚÁÏ Insurance Store. When checking out, you may enroll in the automatic renewal feature, by which your selected payment method will be automatically charged for future premium payments when due. If you do not enroll in the automatic renewal feature, future premium payments must be made with your Insurer by either (1) paying your Insurer directly, or (2) paying with the payment method that you selected when you purchased your Insurance Policy in the ÍøÆغÚÁÏ Insurance Store.
The Insurer is solely responsible for determining the amounts you owe in connection with your Insurance Policy (inclusive of taxes and fees), and when such amounts are due to be paid. All payments processed by APUK are processed on the applicable Insurer's behalf, and we will not be responsible for an Insurer's cancellation of (or other lapse in coverage under) your Insurance Policy as a result of your selected payment method being declined or otherwise failing to process successfully.
If you have any questions regarding the amount of a charge, please contact the applicable Insurer.
Your Insurance Page
After purchasing an Insurance Policy in the ÍøÆغÚÁÏ Insurance Store, you will have access to the Your Insurance page in your ÍøÆغÚÁÏ account, where you can access information regarding your Insurance Policy and change your selected payment method for future premium payments under your Insurance Policy. If you or your Insurer make any adjustment to your Insurance Policy after your purchase, there may be a delay before such adjustment is reflected on the Your Insurance page.
Policy Renewal
When your Insurance Policy is coming up for renewal, we will display a notice on the Your Insurance page informing you of your Insurer's renewal offer, if any. Insurers are exclusively responsible for issuing renewal offers, and you may or may not receive one. We are not involved in the Insurers' decision to offer you a renewal offer or the applicable pricing.
If you previously enrolled in the automatic renewal feature-which you may do at the time of purchase or any other time during the term of your policy- your Insurance Policy will automatically renew each year, subject to your continued payment of applicable premiums. If you have not previously enrolled in the automatic renewal feature, then you must contact your Insurer directly to complete the renewal of your Insurance Policy and avoid any lapse in cover.
In order to opt-out of the automatic renewal feature, you must contact your Insurer.
After your Insurance Policy is renewed, your Insurer will send your updated Insurance Policy documentation in accordance with the communication preferences you previously selected. Please check this documentation to confirm it is accurate. If any corrections are needed, you must contact the applicable Insurer.
