Be careful leaving this phone charger plugged in & switched on live, especially if unattended.This one just gave me an electrical shock and started glowing & smoking as I was holding my phone whilst charging it, burning my finger too!I dread to think of the consequences if this had happened during the night whilst it was on charge next to me on my bedside cabinet. 😱🔥

    I got 18 months out of the last ÍøÆغÚÁÏ lightening to USB cable. By now it was so worn, the lead was frayed and connection was unreliable. I wasnt confident it would make it through to the following day so ordered around 9 pm. I received the item around 10:30 today which is great.

    So far I’m very satisfied. It’s early days but overall looks durable so here’s hoping it’ll last just as long as the last one. £5 is a good price I recon so I plan on buying another one to keep in the office and one for travel with my next ÍøÆغÚÁÏ order.

    I’m not sure about the comments saying it charges slowly but it charged my phone just fine at the normal speed with no problems.

    For under £5 and being MFI certified, these are a bit of a bargain compared to similar cables. They look slightly uninspiring compared to come of the braided cables available and they don't look quite as nice as the original Apple cables. That being said, I have a feeling that they will last longer than the Apple originals as they have better support for bending at the base of the connector on both ends - only time will tell?
    The bottom line, they charge the phone without dubious messages appearing on the screen telling you that your accessory is unsupported and they come at a very competitive price. Thumbs up from me (so far)!

    Obtaining charging cables that will work on my iPad 2's lightning socket has always been a bit of a lottery. Usually cheap cables don't work and I have had to fork out the ridiculously extortionate Apple price. BUT NO LONGER!! A friend suggested I try the ÍøÆغÚÁÏ Basic range and sure enough these worked first time without any problems. I have bought a twin pack of 6ft leads for use in a specific situation as well as a twin pack of 3ft leads for day to day and travel use. (I am submitting the same review for the 3ft cables by use of copy/paste so if you are reading reviews and you thing you've seen this somewhere else - you have!).

    So far I cannot comment on durability or material quality but the do seem quite robust with strain guard fitted where the cable joins the connector and this can be one of the areas of particular weakness. The lightning "blade" clicks into place on all my Apple devices with a satisfying firmness about it, it does not seem loose and wobbly. So, I have high hopes for the future and hope to upgrade some of my ratings at a later date.

    Maybe it’s your first replacement, maybe like me you’ve lost count. I’ve been an iPhone user since day 1 and I’m sick of the lightening cable.

    In short, this is the only cable that made it past the one year mark and I think it’s the best lightening cable you can get. Here’s why.

    Despite it being hideous, the moulded design is vastly more durable than the typical design you see on more expensive cables, this immediately reduces all mechanical damage massively. Also the cable is not so thick that it puts unnecessary tension on the tiny metal connector. Price wise it’s extremely competitive.

    The only other cable I’d suggest is the new Anker ones with the same moulded design (not the braided cable ones).

At first the cable seemed to be of a decent quality and thicker than the original Apple cables. However after around approx 6 months of use it developed a fault and was not charging correctly. Possibly a break in the cable near the lightning plug? However ÍøÆغÚÁÏ agreed to replace it and sent a replacement immediately. Therefore durability and longevity downgraded. Will have to see how long the replacement cable lasts before making any further judgement or comments.
