Artist bios

Colombian sister duo Las Villa rose to streaming success in 2019 with their engaging mix of R&B, trap, and Latin pop. They are known for singles like "Nadita" and the LAGOS collaboration "Cuerno."

Twin sisters Laura and Lucía Villa were raised in Bogotá, where they were schooled in music from a young age. Taking influence from acts like J Balvin, Bad Bunny, and Rosalía, they developed a Latin pop style that borrowed from R&B, trap, and reggaeton, and they built up a following through social media platforms. Signing with Warner Music Latina in 2019, Las Villa made a strong debut with "Nadita," a slinky, melodic track that combined their myriad styles and was streamed into the millions. The reggaeton-heavy "Animal" followed later that year, and in 2020 they added to their success by collaborating with LAGOS on "Cuerno" and with Milky Woodz on "Mírame." "°ä²¹²Ôí²ú²¹±ô±ð²õ," a collaboration with Beéle, arrived later in the year. The pair kicked off 2021 with yet another single, "Balada Para Perrear." ~ Timothy Monger

Born Brandon de Jesús López in Barranquilla, Beéle is a Colombian singer and songwriter of Latin urban music and pop. He started writing his own songs while in his early teens, and at 16 he released his official debut single, "Loco." Helmed by DJ Luian and Mambo Kingz, the song became a global phenomenon in 2019, reaching the top of the charts in more than 20 territories. One year later, Beéle had another smash with "Inolvidable," produced by Ovy on the Drums, the man responsible for many of Karol G's hits. A ballad, it also hinted at Beéle's flexible attitude to genre, an approach that would see him dabbling in Afrobeat, bachata, merengue, and other Caribbean rhythms in the coming years. Like most of his peers, Beéle is predominantly a singles and collaborations artist; up until early 2024 he had yet to release a solo album or even an EP. On the other hand, he had released more than 50 singles and collaborations with Latin pop luminaries such as Farruko, Sebastián Yatra, Rauw Alejandro, Tini, Myke Towers, Manuel Turizo, Andrés Cepeda, Maluma, Piso 21, Lenny Tavárez, and Feid, to name a few. ~ Mariano Prunes
