Nicky Youre rose to global attention in late 2021, channeling the carefree summer vibes of his Southern California home in the sugary pop single "Sunroof," which became a Top Five hit in the U.S. and several other countries. It was later included on his 2023 debut album, Good Times Go.

Growing up in Orange County, Youre began writing and producing songs in his bedroom as a teenager. His debut single, 2020's "Sex and Lemonade," offered a breezy and youthful take on new romance, but it was his second track, the undeniably catchy "Sunroof," that earned him breakout streaming success. Produced by Los Angeles' Dazy and released by Columbia Records in late 2021, the song charted globally and eventually reached number four on the Billboard Hot 100 the following year. Youre's next outing, a collaboration with fellow Californian David Hugo called "Never Go Wrong," arrived in early 2022, followed by "Eyes on You" and "Shut Me Up."
