Electronic supergroup Swedish House Mafia showcases the high-energy EDM and progressive house music of DJ/producers Axwell, Steve Angello, and Sebastian Ingrosso. Rising to prominence in the 2000s, the group built upon their live festival buzz, scoring international hits with tracks like "One (Your Name)" featuring Pharrell Williams and "Miami 2 Ibiza" with Tinie Tempah, both of which helped 2010's Until One reach the Top Five of the U.K. and U.S. dance charts. Their sophomore compilation, 2012's Until Now, fared even better, cracking the Top 20 of the Billboard 200 and spawning the hits "Save the World" and "Don't You Worry Child" featuring John Martin. Following a five-year break to pursue solo projects, Swedish House Mafia reunited and in 2022 topped the dance charts with their official debut album, Paradise Again. They documented their world tour with 2023's Paradise Again: The Live Album, and returned to the Swedish charts with singles like "See the Light" with Fridayy and "Lioness" with Niki and the Dove.

Based in Stockholm, the members of the Swedish House Mafia initially met in the mid-2000s, touring together and collaborating on one another's productions. (DJ Eric Prydz was also an early member). Axwell (aka Axel Christofer Hedfors), Angello, and Ingrosso's breakout performance as Swedish House Mafia came in August 2008, when they played the Main Room at Cream Amnesia in Ibiza, Spain, as part of Radio 1's Essential Mix Ibiza. The trio eventually signed a major-label recording contract with EMI (Astralwerks in the U.S.) and made their commercial production debut with the summer 2010 anthem "One," also known as "One (Your Name)," the latter version featuring Pharrell Williams on vocals. The song was a Top Ten hit in the United Kingdom, Sweden, the Netherlands, and Belgium. It was included on their debut compilation album, 2010's Until One, a compilation of previously released tracks that topped the U.K. dance charts and reached number four on Billboard's Top Dance/Electronic Albums chart.

Two years later, Swedish House Mafia embarked on a well-publicized farewell tour in support of their second compilation album, 2012's Until Now. Another compilation of previously released tracks, the set was extremely successful, going platinum in Sweden and reaching number 14 on the Billboard 200. The release of One Last Tour: A Live Soundtrack brought the project to a close in 2014. Following the group's dissolution, Angello focused on a successful solo career, while Axwell & Ingrosso launched their own high-profile duo. In March 2018, Swedish House Mafia reunited, playing a surprise closing set at the 20th anniversary Ultra Music Festival in Miami, Florida. They also embarked on a 2019 Save the World Reunion Tour and signed with Republic Records.

Beginning in 2021, the group began releasing singles from their first proper studio album including "It Gets Better" and "Moth to a Flame" featuring the Weeknd. Another star-aided single, "Redlight" featuring Sting, arrived in 2022 ahead of their album Paradise Again. Along with the Weeknd, the record welcomed additional guests Mapei, A$AP Rocky, Ty Dolla $ign, Seinabo Sey, and more. The album topped both the U.K. Dance Albums chart on Billboard's Top Dance/Electronic Albums chart. On the heels of the album's release, Swedish House Mafia launched their Paradise Again World Tour and co-headlined the Coachella Festival alongside the Weeknd. A concert album, Paradise Again: The Live Album, arrived in 2023 and featured songs culled from the tour. The group returned to the Swedish charts in 2024 with the single "Lioness" featuring Niki and the Dove. ~ Matt Collar

Yet another in a long and illustrious line of Dutch producers and DJs, Mau P (formerly also known as Maurice West) makes gritty, bassy tech-house and EDM tracks. He shot to international stardom in 2022 with "Drugs from Amsterdam," and has continued releasing singles and remixes including 2024's "On Again."

Born Maurits Jan Westveen in 1996 to a family of musicians, he started making techno and house tracks and DJ'ing professionally when he turned 18, inspired by artists such as Calvin Harris, Skrillex, and Deadmau5. Released in August 2022 by Repopulate Records, his debut single "Drugs from Amsterdam" became a global phenomenon and immediately put him on the map. It was named Dance Song of the Year (Non-Radio) and House Song of the Year by the Electronic Music Dance Awards in 2023. He achieved a similar success with "Metro," a collaboration with Kevin de Vries hailed as one of the best dance tracks of 2023. Mau P's profile continued to rise with more hit singles ("Gimme That Bounce," "Your Mind Is Dirty," "Dress Code," "Beats for the Underground"), remixes for the likes of Swedish House Mafia, Armand Van Helden, and Calvin Harris, and headlining gigs at some of the world's most famous clubs and festivals. The more vocal-driven "On Again" appeared in 2024. ~ Mariano Prunes
