Known for his use of three turntables while DJ'ing, his drum'n'bass releases on labels such Valve, Hospital, and his own Shogun Audio label, Ed Keeley released his first 12" single -- "Critical Mass," as Kinnetix -- in 1998. Otherwise known as Friction, the Brighton, England native released around a couple dozen singles during the 2000s and early 2010s, including collaborations with K-Tee, Aquasky, and Skream. He also put together about a dozen mix albums for several labels, highlighted by Next Level 2 (Shogun Audio, 2006), The Shogun Assassins (Shogun Audio, 2008), Mixed…Drum & Bass (Ministry of Sound, 2010), and Fabriclive 70 (Fabric, 2013). ~ Andy Kellman
