An American K-pop girl group, VCHA are known for their hooky, R&B-influenced brand of dance-oriented pop. The group debuted with the 2023 SeVit (New Light) EP and returned with the 2024 singles "Girls of the Year" and "Only One.

With a name inspired by the Korean word for "illumination," VCHA formed in 2023 while the members, including Lexi, Camila, Kendall, Savanna, KG, and Kaylee, appeared on the reality TV show A2K or America to Korea). Produced by JYP Entertainment and Republic Records, the show was conceptualized around the idea of forming the first all-American girl group using the K-pop style bootcamp system. Following the show, the group hit the Korean Circle charts in September 2023 with the single "Y.O.Universe," which was included on their EP, SeVit (New Light). That December, they also released a single version of The A2K theme song, "Ready for the World." The group's official debut single," Girls of the Year," arrived in January 2024, followed that March by "Only One." Around the same time, Kaylee went on hiatus due to a health issue.
