  Wanted a little extra feeling of security for my patio doors. Initial problem was that it kept sliding off the handle but found I could lodge around the locking tab. On high sensitivity it goes off even if the handle is only touched. I found the alarm would be loud enough to wake me up (got nextdoor neighbour to test!) I do live in a single level home and my bedroom door is always ajar (for the dog!). If you live in a traditional house & patio doors are at the back and your bedroom is upstairs at the front with door closed this alarm sound may not be so effective. As it is small and lightweight it would be excellent when travelling for use on hotel doors.
